Day 9 - you don't need a zoo!

Today was a great day!! The weather was nice so we decided to go out and act like real tourists :p
We went of to Kwantu, a game reserve were they have a lot of wild animals. Kwantu is a really big park and the animals live there just by themselves, they don't get any food from the people of Kwantu.
In a safari car we went of for a 3 hour long drive throughout the game reserve. We saw lots of animals within 3 meters from our car!! We saw zebra's, elephants, gnoes, hippo's,giraffes, lions and many more!! It was so nice to see those animals in wild and so close!! Unbelievable they are so beautiful!!
After the wonderful ride there was another very special surprise for us. There were some little Iions in a separate part of the park which we were allowed to pet!!! It was so nice!! They were really calm and you could just touch and cuddle them like you do with dogs.

The day already was very special but it became even more special when we were going to do a elephant backride!! It was so cool to sit on the elephant and just relax! He walked in a very slow tempo and that made it so relaxing that I felt so happy and relaxed!! We rode through high grass and it was sunset and there were a few zebra's beside us. After the backride we were allowed to feed and touch the elephants!

So it was a great day!! I really enjoyed it!! :D
Tommorow we are going to do some shopping and after that we will go to lelethu. Lelethu is a place where little babies can be placed and where they will take care of them. I'am very curious about this project!
